Hettie’s Place is an owner operated sober house founded by Wyolene Brown. The sober house has served the community for eleven years. The residence is a safe haven for men battling substance abuse. Hettie’s Place provides a structured environment with guidance and referrals to community based services. The sober house was named in honor of Wyolene’s mother, Hettie. Miss Hettie was very warm-hearted and had a friendly smile. Hettie Place has made it our mission to help the forgotten and the voiceless.

Hettie’s Place is more than a sober house. We are a family and support system. In the program, we assist residents with various applications including SNAP, HUSKY health insurance and other state related assistance. We provide transportation for our residents to their medical appointments.
